Course structure
Monash College Diplomas are offered in:
- Art & Design
- Arts
- Business
- Engineering.
Each Diploma is offered in two parts. Your highest qualification will decide your entry point:
- Part 1 - Australian Year 11 or its equivalent, or
- Part 2 - Australian Year 12 or its equivalent (with the appropriate pre-requisite subjects).
Locations
In Australia, diplomas are offered at Clayton and Caulfield Monash University campuses.
From Trimester 1, 2012 all diplomas will be delivered at the Clayton campus (except Diploma of Art & Design which will remain at Caulfield).
Diplomas are also as well as through our overseas partners in:
- China
- Indonesia
- Singapore
- Sri Lanka.
Diploma Part 1
Part 1 Diplomas are positioned at an Australian Year 12 level. They allow you to specialise in the subjects that are most relevant to your chosen field and your destination degree. You will develop strong skills in critical, analytical and creative thinking and a deep understanding of research techniques.
If you are an international student, you
may be eligible to enter Monash University in the
first year of your destination degree provided you gain the required grades in Part 1 of your Diploma. Entry requirements vary, so check each Diploma page for details.
Diploma Part 2 (equivalent to first year university)
Part 2 subjects are designed to build on the foundations from Part 1. You will develop the academic skills necessary to confidently succeed in a university degree.
If you are an international student, you
may be eligible to enter Monash University in the
second year of your destination degree after you gain the required grades in Part 2 of your Diploma.
