ASPIRE Short courses

The ASPIRE: IELTS 8 courses at Monash University English Language Centre are designed for those who require IELTS 7 or 8 for professional or immigration purposes.

There are 5-week short courses available and you can study them separately or at the same time. They are conducted in the evenings (6.30 – 8.30pm) so you can manage them with your work.
Classes take place at our Melbourne City Campus

Through this courses you will:

  • Understand the format of the IELTS test
  • Develop the strategies you need to succeed in the test – even native speakers benefit from studying test strategies!
  • Be entitled to subsidised IELTs test
  • Receive test practice and feedback

You can choose to study two skills on their own (e.g. Reading and Writing OR Speaking & Listening) or combine them and study all four skills together.

ASPIRE: IELTS 8 - Speaking and Listening (short course)

Subsidised IELTS test

Students in ASPIRE: IELTS 8 short courses are entitled to a subsidised IELTS test* if taken at Monash IELTS Test Centre.

  • 10% discount if you enrol in one short course
  • 20% discount if you enrol in both short courses

* Applicable to students in ASPIRE: IELTS 8 short courses only. Test must be booked at Monash IELTS Test Centre before completion of the program.

 

This course is designed for students who currently have an overall IELTS score of 6.5.

After successful completion of the ASPIRE: IELTS 8 program, you will have:

Apply for ASPIRE: IELTS 8

Applications for ASPIRE are accepted in 5-week blocks. Students are required to enrol in their preferred ASPIRE course by selecting which week they wish to commence. After completion of the initial 5-week module, you will have the opportunity to enrol in the following modules.

Step 2: Bring your application and an EFTPOS card to the Monash College reception desk, Monday to Friday, between 10am-4pm

Step 3: Collect copy of the application form and the receipt. A confirmation letter will be sent to your email usually within 24 hours.
Step 4: Check your e-mail for confirmation letter. Please print this confirmation – you will need it when applying for your IELTS test subsidy.
