Entry requirements
The Foundation Year has age, academic and English ability entry requirements. Your academic results will be the main factor in deciding whether you enter the Standard, Intensive or Extended format of the program.
Provisional enrolment
You may be able to enrol in the program based on a provisional entry score. However, you must meet the entry requirements by the time classes start.
Conditional offers
You may get a conditional offer if you have the academic results but do not meet the minimum age or English requirements. You must have successfully met all entry requirements by the time you start classes.
Minimum age
You must be 16 years of age or older when you enrol. If you are not 16, but you would otherwise have been offered a place, you will be offered a deferred place until you are 16. Students must be at least 17 years old to enter Monash University.

English language requirements
You will meet English language requirements if:
- you have completed Australian Year 11
- the whole program was taught in English
- you achieved satisfactory grades in English.
Alternatively, you need to get the minimum score in one of the following English tests.
