Book Sale!

Do you want to sell your old text books or are you interested in buying discounted texts for next trimester?

If you answered yes, then the upcoming Diploma book sale is for you!

Step 1: Drop off your old textbooks (current students)

When: Tuesday 29 May or Tuesday 8 June
Time: Between 1pm - 5pm
Where: G.26/27, Building 73, Clayton campus
Important: You must download and complete the registration form for each book and place the registration form inside the front cover. Terms and conditions apply.

Step 2: Attend the book sale (current and new students)

When: Wednesday 13 June
Time: Between 1pm - 4pm
Where: G.26/27, Building 73, Clayton campus
Preview the book list.
Please note that only cash payments are accepted.

Step 3: Collect your money and any unsold books (student book sellers only)

When: Wednesday 20 June
Time: Between 3:30pm - 5pm
Where: G.26/27, Building 73, Clayton campus

Crafter-noons

Take a break from your study and tap into your creative side. Come along to Monash College Diplomas crafter-noons.

Let’s share our skills and have fun along the way. Chat, knit, crotchet, embroider, origami, sketch, make chain mail, or whatever you are interested in.
Bring your own materials if you have a project, or come along and discover what is possible.

When: Wednesdays, 3.00 – 4.00pm (beginning 2 February - 14 March)
Where: Meet us at G.29, Building 73, Clayton campus
Cost: Free!

Cooking classes

Due to popular demand cooking class is back in 2012! This time you have the opportunity to learn to cook an Aussie BBQ.

Learn how to:

• Select ingredients for nutritious meals
• Follow basic food hygiene procedures
• Complete basic food preparation

After class you will share the food prepared with your fellow students.

Menu (recipes will be provided):

• Homemade Beef Hamburgers
• Fresh Salads
• Fruit Kebabs
• Homemade Pancakes

When: Saturday 3 March, 11am – 1:30pm
Where: Student Common Room, Building 73, Clayton campus
Cost: $10 per person

Weekend trip: Great Ocean Road

Visit one of Australia’s most renowned coastal regions.
Take the scenic route along the Great Ocean Road
and experience breathtaking views you will never
forget. This is an excursion not to be missed.

This journey will provide you with the opportunity to:

• visit Geelong, the second largest city in Victoria
• see the Twelve Apostles
• visit Torquay and have a look at the Surf Shop
• have a break at Apollo Bay
• experience the crashing waves at Loch Ard Gorge and take a walk to the beach
• see what is left of the iconic London Arch
