Meet the team

Molly Bonnefin

Homestay Manager

Molly has been managing our Homestay program at Monash University since 2006 and has been providing support to international students for over twenty years. Starting out in the VET sector, she moved into Higher Education at Monash University ten years ago.  In her various roles she has experience with the full range of welfare and administrative support. She is a member of International Education Association (ISANA) where she chairs the Special Interest Group on Pre-tertiary Students and Accommodation.

Karen Taylor

Homestay Coordinator

Most of our hosts get to meet Karen when she visits their homes for their first interview. She has been our Homestay Coordinator since 2008. Before her current role, she worked in the finance departments of a range of organisations, including Monash College.

Sarah Batrouney

Homestay Coordinator

Sarah's expertise lies in matching and placing students. She has been a member of the Homestay team since 2007. Her career in accommodation services began with work at Campus Living Villages in Parkville.

Evangeline Yang

Homestay Coordinator

Evangeline's background is in welfare and child support. In 2009 she joined the Homestay team to coordinate the placements of students from Monash University, Monash College, Monash University Foundation Year and Monash University English Language Centre. She has particular skills in placing under 18 students.

Utako Eldridge

Study Group Support Coordinator

Utako has been providing bilingual support to Japanese students since 2008. She welcomes them on arrival and is on hand to support them throughout their study program. Her support helps students to develop their independence and confidence.
