Enrolment and orientation

You must enrol in person if you are about to start a new course at Monash College. Enrolment and orientation are compulsory for new students.

When you enrol you can:

  • meet course advisers
  • talk about unit selection and course structure
  • ask people questions about your studies.

Before you enrol

When you have accepted and paid for your offer, our Student Administration team will email you an official Authority to Enrol document about two to three weeks before enrolment. It will give you a step-by-step guide about what you need to do when you enrol.

Note: Only applicable to Foundation Year and Diploma students.

Make sure you create a my.monash account before you enrol.

Check your enrolment dates

Enrolment and orientation is in the week prior to your class commencement. For the enrolment and orientation date, times and location of your course please select the relevant Monash College course from the links on the right.

For future intakes please check back on this site as this information will be available closer to the time of your enrolment.

What to bring

On the day of your enrolment, make sure you bring:

  • a printed copy of your Authority to Enrol (Foundation Year and Diploma students only)
  • your passport
  • a pen and paper
  • your offer letter
  • original or certified IELTS Results.

Late enrolments

If you can't enrol on the date that Monash College has scheduled, you must apply for permission to enrol late. Without written permission, you cannot start your course.
To apply, email latereg@monash.edu and provide:

  • your full name and Monash student identification number
  • an explanation as to why you cannot attend enrolment
  • any evidence that explains why you are late. For example, if you have already booked your flight and it arrives in Australia after enrolment, please attach a copy of your ticket
  • the date you can come to Monash to enrol

(University opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).
We will assess your request and email you within a minimum of three working days. If we approve your late enrolment, we will give you a new enrolment date and location.

Do note that late enrolments are subject to approval and not guaranteed. Even if you do receive permission to enrol late, you may miss out on some classes.

Monash College does not accept early, proxy or online enrolments for new students.

Orientation

Orientation is a compulsory program of information sessions, tours and events designed to help you get to know Monash College, your campus and Melbourne.

Each Monash College course has its own orientation schedule. Make sure you have downloaded and read your schedule prior to arriving.
