Foundation Year students hit the townFoundation Year students celebrating their fantastic year

Written by Naomi Hobbs, Personal Assistant to Director Anne Bright, FoundationYear

Last Friday (4 May), the Foundation Year hosted its first End of Unit 2 celebrations at Berth restaurant, Docklands. Our Unit 2 students had the chance to relax and unwind before their final exams commenced by enjoying a delicious three course meal, letting loose on the dance floor and taking full advantage of the photo booth which was available on the night... complete with props!

There were a few formalities with speeches from our CEO, Jo Mithen, Director Anne Bright and student representatives Sean, Shajeniey, Nick and Athena, as well as presentations to our wonderful MUFYN Bees.

Berth was a perfect location for this event, surrounded by glass windows we watched the sun set over the water and then the city came alive after dark.

It was great to see so many staff and students catching up in a relaxed setting and everyone looked amazing - dressed to impress in their cocktail attire. Nobody walked away empty handed with a lucky dip and mystery prizes throughout the night.

I think everyone there would agree one of the highlights of the evening was the appearance of Charles and Nicolette Taylor on the dancefloor - a bold move which got everyone up and dancing! We even had a spot of karaoke from student Andrew Wong and teacher David Feith!

A guest book was passed around so everyone could record their memories of their year at Monash College, and what a momentous year it has been!
