Monash Medicine welcomes high achieving Foundation Year students from Sri Lanka
Three outstanding Monash University Foundation Year students from Universal College Lanka (UCL) have gained entry to the prestigious Monash School of Medicine. The students are now studying the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Monash University Malaysia.
Students Chamath Gunawardena, Anjali Ranaweera and Uvini Samarakkody obtained academic excellence during their Foundation Year studies undertaken in Sri Lanka with Monash College licenced partner UCL.
Monash College CEO Jo Mithen recognised the outstanding achievements and congratulated the students: “these students are shining representatives of their family, their community, and their country”.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for our students to take the time to reflect and embrace their success and look forward to their Monash University journey.”
