To apply for a Monash College diploma, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age, subject and course prerequisites.
Age requirements
Part 1: 16 years
Part 2: 16 years 6 months
If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place.

Prerequisite subjects
You must also meet the additional prerequisite subjects. These are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2).
We’re changing our Maths entry requirements for Diploma Part 1* - Read more Starting from Trimester 1 2024, we will be implementing our tailored learning experience. Students joining us in Diploma Part 1 in 2024 will no longer be required to meet any specific maths entry requirement. Instead, students have their individual maths needs assessed at the beginning of their program, and are provided with targeted support to develop the specific maths proficiencies they need for their destination degree.
*excluding the Diploma of Arts - Education stream Part 1. The Diploma of Arts - Education stream Part 1 students must either meet the Maths prerequisite requirement (Australian Year 11 or equivalent) or must complete unit MCD1550 Introductory Mathematics for Business which will result in the Diploma duration being extended and additional costs.
