Late Submissions

  • Late submissions are permitted for certain assessment tasks. Review the assessment information of each individual task to see whether late submissions are permitted.
  • Late penalties of 5% (of the total mark) will be deducted for every day (or part thereof) the assessment task is late - determined per 24 hour block.
  • Example 1: Your assessment was due at 11.55pm Thursday, you submitted at 12.30am Friday. You will be penalised 5%.
  • Example 2: Your assessment was due at 11.55pm Thursday, you submitted at 9.30am Saturday. You will be penalised 10%.
  • Assessments that are more than 7 days late will not be marked and a zero grade will be returned.
  • Late penalties may be waived, if a special consideration application is lodged within 48 hours of the submission due date AND the application is subsequently approved.
  • If you encounter technical difficulties while submitting your assessment task, please continue to try to submit the task. If you are unable to do so, you can apply for special consideration.
