Destination degrees

Your destination degree is the Monash University degree that you want to study after the foundation year.

Once you have successfully completed foundation year, you will have guaranteed entry into the first year of an undergraduate degree at Monash University. Remember that you must meet the entry requirements and subject prerequisites.

How to calculate your Foundation Year score

• Step 1: Add your eight highest unit scores
• Step 2: Divide the total by eight
• Step 3: If eligible add bonus points. Add 1.25% of the score of each additional unit you pass to Step 2 (maximum of two bonus point units).

To be eligible for bonus points you must complete your Foundation Year within the expected completion duration of two semesters (three for the Extended program.)

Students can satisfy the MUFY Fundamental Mathematics prerequisite required for this course by successfully completing either 'Mathematics (MUF0091) and Fundamental Mathematics (MUF0142)' OR 'Fundamental Mathematics (MUF0141) and Fundamental Mathematics (MUF0142)' and achieving the required overall score as specified in the MUFY spreadsheet.

Articulation Agreements

Monash College has articulation agreements in place with Deakin University, RMIT University, Macquarie University and Swinburne University of Technology. The alternative pathways allow students that have completed their Monash University Foundation Year but been unsuccessful in meeting the entry requirements to transition to an undergraduate degree with Monash University or Monash College Diplomas, or who have elected not to transition to Monash University for other reasons and approved for release for international students, to apply to the partner universities. These universities reserve the right to vary the agreements from time to time.
