Diploma of Science
The Diploma of Science provides a pathway into the second year of a Monash University Science degree. Core subjects introduce students to the fundamentals of the scientific method in both theory and practice, and units are available across a range of science and related disciplines including Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Psychology, Computing and Engineering.

How the program works
Our diplomas are in two parts: part 1 and part 2. In part 1, you’ll study core science subjects. In part 2, you’ll study the same subjects as first-year University students and develop your specialist knowledge of science.

Course information
International students who complete Part 2 to can enter directly into the second year of their Monash University degree.

Academic entry requirements
To apply for a Monash College Diploma of Science, you must be at least 16 years old and meet the academic requirements.
English language requirements
To study a Diploma of Science you'll need to meet a minimum standard of English.
Start dates
You can start the Diploma of Science in February, June or October.
Course structure and units
Study core units in part 1. In part 2 you'll study the same subjects as first year university students.

Your destination degree is the Monash University degree you want to study after your Diploma of Science.
