Gender-based violence and sexual harm prevention and response

Overview

At Monash College, we are committed to creating an environment free of violence, where our whole community feels safe, welcomed and respected at the campus. The Gender-based ViolenceHarm Prevention and Response Policy suite is aimed at maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive environment at locations across the Monash Group – which includes Monash College’s campus and community of professional and teaching staff, students, and any visitors.

We want to ensure everyone is safe at Monash College. If you’ve experienced, witnessed, or heard about behaviour that may be concerning, threatening or inappropriate, we encourage you to tell us.

We understand that disclosing or reporting sexual harm can be difficult and may affect people in different ways. If you are feeling distressed or unsure what to do, support is available.

If you experience or witness any unsafe or violent behaviour, your primary contact is the Safer Community Unit. Their details are:

  • Website: monash.edu/safer-community
  • Phone: 9905 1599 (available Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
