Prerequisite subjects
You must also meet the additional prerequisite subjects. These are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2).
Meeting maths and science prerequisites with international qualifications
If you have completed a Monash-approved international senior secondary qualification (or higher qualification) that includes mathematics and/or science at the required level, it will be assumed you have met the equivalent standard to the VCE subjects prerequisites.
To further support your readiness for university study, you’ll be invited to complete “learning needs analysis” tests in key subject areas. These help identify any areas where you may benefit from additional support.
Academic support programs
If your results indicate that further development in mathematics is beneficial, you’ll gain access to our ‘Passport to Maths’ program - a supportive learning community designed to help you build confidence and skills through:
- Online learning modules
- Group workshops
- One-to-one sessions with maths specialists
For students undertaking Chemistry or Physics, early skills assessments in your first trimester will also help us tailor support to ensure your success.
