MAPP students bring learning to life at inaugural BLAST MAPP Showcase

At Monash College, we deliver world-class, transformative education that sets students up for success at Monash University and beyond. Last week, our inaugural Monash Advanced Preparation Program (MAPP) cohort brought their learning to life at the BLAST MAPP Showcase.

On Friday 23 January 2026, MAPP students showcased their academic capabilities across three presentation formats: cybersecurity poster displays, 3-minute thesis competitions on AI, and start-up business pitches. The event highlighted the breadth of knowledge and skills students developed throughout the intensive 16-week program.

BLAST (Belong, Learn, Achieve, and Succeed Together) events are student-led experiences designed to strengthen belonging and connection at Monash College. They give students the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback and build the confidence and communication skills needed to thrive at university.

Executive Director, Education, Matt Carter, said the showcase demonstrated what students can achieve through the MAPP program.

"Watching our first MAPP cohort present their work was inspiring. They showed the academic strength, confidence and communication abilities that will serve them well at Monash University. This success reflects their hard work and the supportive, engaging learning environment at Monash College."
