Fees non-payment (encumbrance)

Fees non-payment (encumbrance)

If you don’t pay your fees by the due date, we may place a block on your Monash account (an encumbrance). This means you won’t be able to access essential Monash College services including the libraries, Moodle, or academic record (transcript) requests and you won't be able to order student letters, re-enrol, graduate, sit an eExam or access your results. We’ll notify you in writing if this happens.

How to get an encumbrance removed

You must pay the full outstanding amount to have your encumbrance removed.

Payments and transfer time

Please be aware that once your debt is paid, your access to services won't be immediate.

Depending on your payment method, transfer times may vary. If paying by Visa or Mastercard, this takes about two working days. For BPAY and telegraphic transfer outside Australia, transfer time may be around five working days.

If your encumbrance hasn't been lifted

Once we’ve received your payment, we’ll restore your access to services, which can take another two to three working days. If your access isn't restored within that time, contact mcfees.sponsorships@monashcollege.edu.au

For payment options, see pay your fees.

Invalidation (cancellation) of enrolment

If you continue not to pay your debt, we will invalidate (discontinue) your enrolment.

Reinstatement

If you are invalidated and wish to have your enrolment reinstated for the same teaching period you will need to contact mcfees.sponsorships@monashcollege.edu.au.

To have your enrolment reinstated you need to;

1.     Pay your outstanding fees

2.     Pay a reinstatement fee.
