Important changes to Australian student visa requirements in 2023
International students back to face-to-face learning in 2023.

We look forward to welcoming all our international students to attend face-to-face learning in 2023, so they can experience everything our vibrant campus has to offer.
We continue to follow government advice to ensure our campus is a safe study environment for all students, as outlined in our College COVID-19 page.
If you’re in Australia, you're expected to attend class activities on campus unless an activity is held only online.
For offshore international students
The Australian Government’s regulator for higher education, the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), has announced that all international students who hold an Australian student visa will be required to attend face-to-face learning by 30 June 2023 to ensure compliance with the National Code.
We’re committed to the ongoing support of our international students, and understand there may be students who continue to experience barriers to travel to Australia for face-to-face study (for example travel restrictions in their home country).
From Semester 2 2023 for Foundation Year students and Trimester 2 2023 for Diploma students, there will be no online course options available, however you can apply for intermission (under compassionate or compelling circumstances) to allow more time to organise your travel to Australia. To apply, please contact us at student.admin@monashcollege.edu.au.
Students commencing Diploma studies in the June Trimester are expected to be on campus for face to face learning from the commencement of the program from 19 June.
At Monash College, we continue to welcome our students from China
The Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) recently announced they will no longer provide certification/accreditation services for students who study online during or after the spring semester of 2023 (autumn semester of the Southern Hemisphere).
In line with this announcement we are working swiftly to provide students with suitable resources and support.
International students are an important part of the Monash community. Not only do they provide a global perspective to our entire student experience, they add vitality to our campuses, and to the broader Victorian community. We welcome China's decision to encourage students to return to Australia and will work closely with the Australian government to ensure their smooth return.
