Renting and house sharing
Please note that Monash does not own, does not manage and is not affiliated with any of these property options.
Renting or house sharing
If you're over 18 years old, you can rent your own place or share with friends. There are many rental properties in Melbourne close to all of our Monash College campuses. If you choose this option, select a place that’s close to your campus and beware of scams. Accommodation scams typically try to trick you into giving an upfront fee, and may request another electronic transfer when you enter the country. Please be alert and don't enter into a contract or pay any money until you have physically inspected a property, unless it is a Monash College approved accommodation provider. Visit our safety and security page for more information.
Facilities: Properties in Melbourne may be unfurnished, partially furnished or fully furnished. Phone, internet and electricity costs are generally not included so you will have to budget for this.
Cost: $250–450 per week (minimum stay of 12 months and depends on location, size and utilities).
You can start searching for accommodation on realestate.com.au or domain.com.au
