Keep calm. Treat all threats as genuine. Record exact information for Police.

Notify Security on 333 or 9905 3333 - use an alternate phone if necessary.

If threat by telephone:

  • Keep the person talking and ask:
    • Location.
    • Indicated time the bomb will explode.
  • Do not replace the handset: This enables the call to be traced.

If threat is by letter or package:

  • Do not use electronic devices: This may detonate a bomb.
  • Suspected explosive or unopened suspicious package:
    • Do not touch the package.
    • Notify Security on 333 or 9905 3333 – use an alternate phone if necessary.
    • Provide the following:
      • Name
      • Location
      • Number of people involved
      • Description of the package
      • Action Required: Leave the package and move out of the surrounding area unless otherwise advised.
    • Wash and decontaminate your hands.
    • Seek medical advice as appropriate.
